BSDI programming is comprised of four components:

1. Group Mentoring and support groups at school-based sites

That focus on character education, positive self-identity, career and academic preparation, strengthening coping skills, and other relevant topics.

2. Skills Development Groups & Specialized Mentoring

Participation in empowerment programs, STEM conferences, & workshops and leadership training promoting entrepreneurship, career and workforce readiness.

3. Professional Development & Training

1. Participating in capacity and skills building workshops, covering entrepreneurship, career, workforce, and socially and culturally relevant topics.

 

2. Providing access to opportunities – such as internship and apprenticeship opportunities with partner organisations.

4. One-on-one Mentoring

Connecting mentees with best match mentors for personal and professional development.

All components offer opportunities to network with successful mentees, and mentors.

Who We Serve

Everybody needs mentoring, both personally and professionally. At BSDI, our focus is on young adults who fall in the following categories;

 

1. Tertiary students

 

2. About-to-graduate college adults

 

3. Fresh college graduates

 

4. National Service personnel and

 

5. Young professionals

 

At BSDI, there is a mentor for everyone. If you would like to receive mentoring, but do not fall between the above-mentioned categories, you can still apply for mentorship.
